1. Medical Laboratory Technology :
1. Clinical Pathology & Hematology :
Hematology : Blood cell formation, function, and disorders; complete blood count (CBC) and its parameters; manual and automated cell counting; blood smear examination; hemoglobinopathies; coagulation studies (PT, aPTT, INR); and blood banking procedures.
Clinical Pathology : Analysis of urine, stool, and other body fluids; microscopic examination for cells, casts, and crystals; chemical analysis of urine; and semen analysis.
2. Microbiology :
General Microbiology : Sterilization and disinfection techniques; microscopy; culture media preparation; staining techniques (Gram, ZN, etc.); and microbial growth and nutrition.
Bacteriology : Identification and classification of bacteria; common bacterial pathogens; and antibiotic susceptibility testing.
Virology & Mycology : Basic knowledge of viruses and fungi, and common diseases caused by them.
Immunology & Serology : Antigen-antibody reactions; serological tests for diseases like HIV, Hepatitis, and Syphilis; and the principles of ELISA and agglutination tests.
3. Biochemistry :
Basic Concepts : Carbohydrate, protein, and lipid metabolism; enzymes; vitamins; and hormones.
Clinical Biochemistry : Analysis of blood and other body fluids for glucose, liver function tests (LFT), kidney function tests (KFT), and electrolytes; and principles of photometers and auto-analyzers.
