Part A General Knowledge:
1. History, Art and Culture, Literature, Traditions and Heritage of Rajasthan (e.g. Major sources of the history of Rajasthan, major dynasties of Rajasthan and their achievements, important forts, monuments and structures of Rajasthan, major paintings, styles and handicrafts of Rajasthan, major works of Rajasthani language and literature, regional dialects, fairs, festivals, folk music, folk dances, musical instruments and jewellery of Rajasthan, Rajasthani culture, tradition and heritage, important historical tourist places of Rajasthan, people's movement of 1857, unification of Rajasthan etc.).
2. Geography of Rajasthan (status quo and expansion, main physical divisions - desert region, Aravalli mountainous region, plain region and plateau region, drainage system, climate, soil, natural vegetation, forest and wildlife conservation, environmental and ecological issues, desertification, agro-climatic regions and major crops, livestock, multipurpose projects, irrigation projects, water conservation, transportation and mineral wealth).
3. Polity and Panchayati Raj of Rajasthan (e.g. Governor, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister, District Administration, Lokayukta and Panchayati Raj System etc.).
Part B Mining Engineering (Diploma) & Geology (Graduate Level) :-
1. Mining Geology: Introduction and importance of geology in Mining. Mineral resources of Rajasthan, Mining of important economic minerals in Rajasthan, Various terms used in mining, Introduction and comparison of underground and surface mining.
2. Stratigraphy: Introduction, standard stratigraphic scale, principle of stratigraphic correlation; Geology of Rajasthan in brief.
3. Physical Geology: Definition, Origin, Nebular hypothesis of Kant and Laplace, Age of earth, its determination internal structure of earth, weathering, erosion, denudation, Transportation and deposition, Geological work of wind, river, Earth quakes, Volcanoes.

5. Petrology: Definition of rock, formation, crystallization, texture, structure and classification of igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks, metamorphic rock.
6. Mineralogy: Definition of mineral, identification by physical, chemical and optical properties, Classification of rock forming minerals, Description of mineral families, i.e. feldspar group, mica group, pyroxene group, amphibole group.
7. Ore Minerals and Genesis: Metallogenic epochs and provinces. An overview of various Rajasthan Mineral deposits in cratons and mobile belts. Mineralaogy and mode of occurrence of Copper lead zinc iron ore, management deposit in Rajasthan
