3. Indian Freedom Struggle and Post-Independence - The Freedom Struggle and its various stages and important contributors/contributions from different parts of the country and consolidation and reorganization within the country.
4. History of the World - Events from the 18th century such as the industrial revolution, world wars, redrawing of national boundaries, colonization, decolonization, political philosophies like communism, capitalism, socialism etc. – their forms and effect on the society
5. Salient features of Indian Society, and Diversity of India
6. Role of women and women’s organization, population and associated issues, poverty and developmental issues, urbanization, their problems and their remedies
7. Effects of globalization on Indian society.
8. Social empowerment, communalism, regionalism and secularism.
9. Salient features of the world’s physical geography.
