BSF Constable, ASI Eligibility 2022

Educational Qualification :

Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (ASI)

(a) Three years Diploma in the relevant trade recognized by the Directorate General Civil Aviation; or

(b) Group “X” Diploma issued by the Indian Air Force;

Assistant Radio Mechanic (ASI)

(a) Three years Diploma recognized by the Directorate General, Civil Aviation in Telecommunication or Electronics Engineering; or

(b) Group “X” Radio Diploma issued by the Indian Air Force;

Constable (Storeman)

Matriculation pass with Science or equivalent from a recognized Board.

Must have two years working experience in Store or warehousing of any Government or Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous organization or any company or private firm or Institution.

Experience

Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (ASI)

Two years relevant aviation experience after completion of the Diploma course.

Assistant Radio Mechanic (ASI)

Two years experience in maintenance or overhauling of communication or Navigation equipment fitted in Aircraft or Helicopter held by Border Security Force.

Constable (Storeman)

Working knowledge in Computer or having prior aviation experience is preferable, not mandatory.

Age Limit :

1. Assistant Aircraft Mechanic (ASI) & Assistant Radio Mechanic(ASI) : Not exceeding 28 years

2. Constable (Storeman) : Between 20 to 25 years

1. ASI – Pay Matrix Level-5 (Rs. 29200 – Rs. 92,300/-) as per 7th CPC

2. Constable – Pay Matrix Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 – 69,100/-) as per 7th CPC.

Height 165 Cms (Relaxable by 5 Cms for Hill Tribes and Adhivasis)

Weight Weight corresponding to the height

Chest 76 to 80 Cms (Relaxable by 2 Cms for candidates below 20 years of age)

Female :

Height : Shall not be less than 150 Cms

Weight : Weight corresponding to the height

Chest : No requirement of chest measurement.

For Constable (Storeman)

Male :

Height : 165 Cms

Weight : Proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards.

Chest : 80 Cms (Un-expanded), 85 Cms (Expanded)

Female :

Height : Shall not be less than 150 Cms

Weight : Proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards.

Chest : No requirement of chest measurement.
