Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria as of January 1, 2025:
I. Educational Qualification:
1. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination.
2. They must possess a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or a B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree from a recognized institution.
3. It is mandatory to be registered as a Nurse and Midwife with the Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC).
II. Language Proficiency: Candidates must have passed Punjabi at the Matric level or be able to qualify a prescribed Punjabi language test.
III. Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 37 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/BC) as per Punjab Government norms.
Selection Process
The selection for the BFUHS Staff Nurse position is based on a two-stage process.
I. Written Examination: This is a key component of the selection, carrying 90 marks. The exam is designed to assess both professional knowledge and general aptitude. The syllabus covers core nursing subjects (such as Anatomy & Physiology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, and Community Health Nursing), along with General English, Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Numerical Ability.
II. Experience Marks and Document Verification: A maximum of 10 marks are awarded for relevant work experience, with a weightage of one mark for each completed year of service. Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for document verification to confirm the authenticity of their educational and professional credentials.
Salary and Job Profile
I. Salary: The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹29,200 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. This provides a stable and competitive income for nursing professionals.
