Eligibility Criteria

1. Laboratory Technician: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB). This must be followed by a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) or a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a recognized university or institution.

II. Age Limit: The minimum age for applicants is 21 years. The maximum age for different categories is as follows:
1. General/EWS (Male): 37 years
2. Backward Class/Extremely Backward Class (Male and Female): 40 years
3. General/EWS (Female): 40 years
4. SC/ST (Male and Female): 42 years
Candidates who attained the maximum age limit between 01.01.2021 and 01.08.2025 are also eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection for the SHS Bihar Laboratory Technician position is based on a merit-based system that combines a written exam and professional experience.
I. Computer-Based Test (CBT): The selection process will begin with a Computer-Based Test worth 75 marks. The syllabus will cover subjects related to the required academic qualifications.
II. Work Experience Evaluation: Up to 25 marks will be awarded based on the candidate's work experience, with specific weightage given to experience in COVID-19-related services.
III. Document Verification: Candidates who are provisionally selected based on their performance in the CBT and experience marks will be called for document verification to confirm the authenticity of their credentials.
Salary and Job Profile
I. Salary: The selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration. For the Laboratory Technician post, the salary is ₹15,000 per month. For the Senior Laboratory Technician, the salary is ₹24,000 per month.
