Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the DEE Assam Special Educator position, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications and age limits as of August 1, 2025:
I. Educational Qualification:
1. For LP Schools: Candidates must have a Senior Secondary (or equivalent) certificate with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). They must also possess a valid Assam TET or Central TET (ATET/CTET) certificate for the LP level.
2. For UP Schools: Candidates must be a Graduate with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. in Special Education recognized by the RCI. They must also have a valid ATET/CTET certificate for the UP level.
II. Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age for the unreserved category is 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (OBC/MOBC: 3 years, SC/ST: 5 years, PwD: 10 years).
III. Domicile: Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.
Selection Process
The selection for the DEE Assam Special Educator position will be based on a merit-based system. There is no mention of a written examination.
I. Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the qualifying educational examinations (e.g., Senior Secondary, Graduation, Diploma/B.Ed.), and the ATET/CTET scores.
II. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. The board will verify the authenticity of all academic certificates, RCI registration, and ATET/CTET certificates.
