Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria as of January 1, 2025:
1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (Class 10th) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board, or hold an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) pass certificate from a recognized institution.
2. Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age is 27 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years) as per government rules.
3. Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection for the Security Attendant, Court Attendant, and Room Attendant posts is based on a two-stage process.
1. Tier-I Preliminary Examination: This is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with a total of 100 marks and 100 questions. The exam duration is 150 minutes, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect answer. The test covers five main sections: General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Numerical & Arithmetical Ability, Hindi Language & Comprehension, and English Language & Comprehension. Candidates must score a minimum of 50% for the general category (45% for reserved categories) to qualify for the next stage.
2. Interview: Qualified candidates from the Preliminary Examination will be called for an Interview, which carries 15 marks. The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of the Tier-I exam and the Interview.
Salary and Job Profile
1. Salary: These positions fall under Pay Level 3 of the 7th Pay Commission, with a pay scale of ₹21,700 to ₹69,100. In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates are entitled to various allowances, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance (TA).
2. Job Profile:
I. Security Attendant: The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the premises and personnel within the Delhi High Court. This includes monitoring surveillance systems, controlling entry and exit points, and conducting patrols.
II. Court Attendant: Responsibilities include assisting in court operations, handling files and documents, and maintaining order within the courtroom.
III. Room Attendant: This role involves providing support to judges and court staff, maintaining the cleanliness of the chambers and offices, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
