ECGC Probationary Officer Eligibility 2025
Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of
permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East
African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika
and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently
settling in India provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above
shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government
of India.
Educational Qualification
A. Probationary Officers (Generalists) :
Bachelor’s Degree/ Graduate in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
B. For Probationary Officers (Specialists) :
Rajbhasha/Hindi :
(i) Master’s degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation, with English as core/Elective/Major subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level with minimum 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University;
OR
(ii) Master’s degree in English with Hindi as core/elective/major subject at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University.
OR
(iii) Master’s degree in any discipline with English and Hindi as core/elective/major subjects at the bachelor’s degree level with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University.
OR
(iv) Master’s degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi translation with minimum 55%for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University.
Age Limit :
1. Minimum Age: 21 year old
2. Maximum Age: 30 year old
Salary : Rs. 88,635-4385(14)-150025-4750(4)-169025/-

3. Choose the option for new registration and register using a valid email id & phone number.
4. Complete the application form with the required details and upload the scanned copy of the photograph and signature, thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.
5. Now proceed with the final payment and click on the submit button.
6. Take out the printout of the ECGC PO 2026 Application Form for future purposes.
