Educational Qualification: LLB Degree (three years professional course after graduation, or five years after 10+2 examination).
CLAT PG 2026 Score (conducted in December 2025) is mandatory for all candidates, including LLM-qualified and LLM-appearing candidates. No other CLAT PG exam score will be accepted.
Candidates must be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State.
The LLB degree must be from a College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India.
All candidates applying for JAG Entry must get their CLAT PG 2026 result verified at the Selection Centre before the SSB is conducted - failure to do so makes the candidate ineligible for SSB, with no representation accepted.
Nationality:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India (a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India is required for these categories, except Gorkha subjects of Nepal).
Age Limit: Maximum 21 to 27 years
Salary: Level 10, Rs.56,100 -Rs.1,77,500/-.
