Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet the following criteria as of September 21, 2025:
I. Educational Qualification:
1. Office Assistant: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Proficiency in the local language of Karnataka is also mandatory.
2. Officer Scale-I: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in Agriculture, IT, Management, Law, or Economics.
3. Officer Scale-II: A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience is required for this post.
II. Age Limit:
I. Office Assistant: 18 to 28 years.
2. Officer Scale-I: Above 18 and below 30 years.
3. Officer Scale-II: Above 21 and below 32 years.
Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
Selection Process
The selection process is a multi-stage process conducted by IBPS.
I. Preliminary Examination: This is the first stage for Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I. It is an online test of 45 minutes with 80 questions on Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude/Numerical Ability.
II. Main Examination: Candidates who qualify the Prelims will appear for the Mains. The exam will be for 200 marks and will have five sections: Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Quantitative Aptitude.
III. Interview: For Officer Scale-I, II, and III, candidates who clear the Main/Single examination will be called for a Common Interview. This stage is coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks.
Salary and Job Profile
I. Salary: The in-hand salary for an Office Assistant is approximately ₹35,000 to ₹37,000 per month. For an Officer Scale-I, the starting basic pay is approximately ₹48,480, with a total monthly in-hand salary of around ₹60,000 to ₹65,000.
II. Job Profile: An Office Assistant handles clerical duties such as managing cash, receipts, and files, and assisting customers with their queries.
