NFR Sports Quota Recruitment 2025 – Notification Out for 56 Posts
Northeast Frontier Railway is hiring 56 players under the Sports Quota. Anyone between 18–25 years with 10th pass, ITI or Graduation can apply. Jobs are for different sports like cricket, athletics, volleyball, boxing, table tennis and more. Selection will be through sports trials and certificates. Apply online from 16 Sept to 15 Oct 2025. The 56 posts are distributed across three Pay Levels / Grade Pay levels as per the nature of post and educational qualification required:

Selection Process
The selection process for the NFR Sports Quota Recruitment 2025 is designed to identify the best talent.
Tier 1:
1. Trial of Sports Performance
1. Trial of Sports Performance
2. Candidates will undergo a trial to assess their sports skills and physical fitness. The Trial Committee will award up to 40 marks. A candidate needs to score at least 25 marks to be considered ‘FIT’ for the next stage.
Tier 2:
1. Interview and Assessment
2. Only candidates who are declared ‘FIT’ in the trial will be called for an interview. The Recruitment Committee will assess sports achievements and educational qualifications, awarding up to 60 marks. The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks out of 100.
Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification: Qualifications depend on the pay level.
1. Levels 5 or 4 (GP Rs.2800/2400): A graduate degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
2. Levels 3 or 2 (GP Rs.2000/1900): Must have passed Class 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent.
3. Level 1 (GP Rs.1800): Must have passed Class 10th (matriculation) or ITI or equivalent, or have a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years of age as of January 1, 2026. No age relaxation is applicable for any category.
