RBI Junior Engineer Eligibility 2026
Educational Qualification :
Educational Qualification (Mandatory): Junior Engineer (Civil): Minimum three years Diploma in Civil Engineering OR Degree in Civil Engineering with prescribed minimum percentage of marks. Junior Engineer (Electrical): Minimum three years Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronic Engineering OR Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronic Engineering with prescribed minimum percentage of marks (relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD as per rules).
Experience (Mandatory): For Diploma holders: At least 2 years' post-qualification experience. For Degree holders: At least 1-year post-qualification experience (or 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU) in the relevant field as detailed in the notification.
Nationality: The candidate must be either a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India (with eligibility certificate where required).
Age Limit:
Minimum age 18 years
Maximum age 30 years
Application Fee :
General / EWS / OBC Candidates: Rs. 450/- + 18% GST
SC / ST / PwBD / EXS: Rs. 50/- + 18% GST
Staff Candidates: Nil
Salary :
Basic Pay: Rs. 33,900/month
Pay Scale: Rs. 20,700/- to Rs. 55,700/-
Initial Monthly Gross Salary: Rs. 71,032/-
House Rent Allowance: 15% of basic pay

1. Go to the official website of the Reserve Bank of India at www.rbi.gov.in.
2. On the homepage, click on the "Click Here For Registration" link provided.
3. You will be redirected to a new page with the online application portal.
4. Click on the Login button and use your login credentials, which were generated at the time of registration.
5. Fill in all your basic information and click on the "Save and Next" button at the bottom of the page.
6. After you have filled in your personal details, you are required to fill in your Educational Qualifications and your Work Experience.
7. Upload your photograph and signature in the prescribed format as mentioned in the notification PDF.
8. Pay the required application fee through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking etc., after the verification.
9. Download the RBI JE 2026 application form and take a hard copy of it for future reference.
