Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the TNPSC Field Assistant position, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications, age limits, and physical standards as of July 1, 2025:
I. Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in one of the following trades from the National Council for Training and Vocational Trade:

II. Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years, and the maximum age for the general category is 32 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (BC, MBC/DC, SC, and ST) as per government rules.
III. Physical Standards: Due to the nature of the job, candidates must meet specific physical standards for tasks like pole climbing and lifting heavy equipment. These are assessed during the physical test.
Selection Process
The selection for the TNPSC Field Assistant is a multi-stage process designed to evaluate both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
I. Written Examination: The first stage is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with two papers.
1. Paper I: This includes a Tamil Eligibility Test, General Studies, and Aptitude & Mental Ability.
