TNPSC Group IV Eligibility 2026:
Educational Qualification:
For several posts such as VAO, Junior Assistant and Bill Collector, the minimum general educational qualification/SSLC qualification is prescribed. Some posts require graduation, B.Com., technical qualifications, typewriting, shorthand, computer office automation or other specialised qualifications.
Important Qualification Requirements:
VAO: Minimum General Educational Qualification.
Several Junior Assistant/related posts: SSLC or minimum general educational qualification.
Some Junior Assistant posts: Degree qualification.
Junior Assistant (Accounts): B.Com. degree.
Typist posts: SSLC/minimum qualification along with prescribed Typewriting qualification.
Steno Typist posts: Prescribed educational qualification along with Typewriting and Shorthand qualifications.
Forest Watcher: Minimum General Educational Qualification.
Forest Guard with Driving Licence: Higher Secondary qualification with specified science subjects, valid driving licence, driving experience, automobile knowledge and first-aid qualification.
Age Limit:
Minimum 18 years
Maximum 53 years
Application Fee:
Registration Fee of Rs. 150/- (valid for 5 years). Candidates who are already registered are not required to register again.
Examination Fee of Rs. 100/-, which is for the TNPSC Group 4 exam only.

2. If applying to TNPSC for the first time, complete One Time Registration (OTR) with your bio-data; a User ID will be sent to your registered mobile number and email.
3. Already-registered candidates can log in directly and proceed to the online application for this notification.
4. Select your post preference — "Posts other than Forest Guard with Driving Licence / Forest Watcher" or "All the Posts" — carefully, as per your willingness.
5. Fill in personal, educational, and category details, and upload the required supporting documents.
6. Pay the examination fee online (or select the fee-exemption option, if eligible).
7. Review and submit the application before the last date; note your Application Number/ID for future reference.
8. Use the Application Correction Window (09–11 November 2026) if any edits are needed after submission.
