UPSC CDS 2 Eligibility 2025-26 ;
Age Limit : 20-24 years
For IMA: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02/01/2003 and not later than 01/01/2008
For Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02/01/2003 and not later than 01/01/2008
For Air Force Academy: 20 to 24 years (born not earlier than 02/01/2003 and not later than 01/01/2007). Upper age limit relaxable upto 26 years for candidates holding valid Commercial Pilot Licence
For OTA (SSC Men): Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02/01/2002 and not later than 01/01/2008
For OTA (SSC Women): Unmarried women, issueless widows/divorcees born not earlier than 02/01/2002 and not later than 01/01/2008
Date of birth accepted only from Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate
No subsequent change in date of birth allowed
Application Fee :
1. General & OBC category: INR 200/-
2. SC/ ST and Females: Exempted
Educational Qualification :
1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Graduation degree (any subject) from a recognized University or equivalent.
2. For Indian Naval Academy : Graduation in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
3. For Air Force Academy : Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Salary :
During Training: Fixed stipend of Rs. 56,100/- per month (starting pay in Level 10)
After Commissioning as Lieutenant: Pay Level 10: Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500/-
Captain: Pay Level 10B: Rs. 61,300 - 1,93,900/-
Major: Pay Level 11: Rs. 69,400 - 2,07,200/-
Lieutenant Colonel: Pay Level 12A: Rs. 1,21,200 - 2,12,400/-
Colonel: Pay Level 13: Rs. 1,30,600 - 2,15,900/-
Military Service Pay (MSP): Rs. 15,500/- per month (fixed) from Lieutenant to Brigadier
Additional Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Dress Allowance (Rs. 20,000/- per year), Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance (Rs. 2,250/- per month), Free Ration in kind

How to Fill CDS Exam Registration Form 2025-26
1. Visit the official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in or directly apply from the above link.
2. On the homepage, click on Examination >> Active Examinations >> Online Application For UPSC CDS 1 Exam.
3. Click on "Part-1" against Combined Defence Examination (II) 2025-26
4. Read all the instructions carefully and proceed by clicking on "Yes"
5. You will be redirected to a new page, start filling in your details correctly.
6. Select your preferences carefully and continue to Part-II.
7. Pay the required application fee through online/offline mode as discussed above.
8. Select the desired examination center from the list.
9. Upload scanned documents as required in the application form.
10. Check all the details and click on "Submit". Download a copy of the application form for future reference.
