1. Program Overview
The Eastman Powerup Eduskill Scholarship Program is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by Eastman Auto and Power Limited (EAPL). The program is specifically designed to support academically promising students from financially constrained backgrounds by blending financial aid with industry-relevant skill development.
2. Key Benefits
i) Financial Assistance: Selected students receive a scholarship amount of ₹20,000 per year.
ii) Milestone-Based Disbursement: The financial reward is disbursed upon the successful completion of approved online certification courses (via platforms like Coursera and Udemy) within a 4–5 month timeline.
iii) Skill Enhancement: It bridges the gap between academic learning and industry needs by focusing on core domains like Power Electronics, Battery Management Systems, and Renewable Energy Systems.
3. Detailed Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following conditions:
i) Engineering (B.Tech): 3rd/4th year, lateral entry, or the graduating batch of 2026.
ii) M.Tech: 2nd year or the graduating batch of 2026.
iii) Management (MBA/PGDM): 2nd year or the graduating batch of 2026 (specializing in Sales or Marketing).
iv) Polytechnic Diploma: 3rd-year students.
v) Academic Record: Applicants must have a consistent academic record with a minimum of 60% marks or a 6.0 CGPA from Class 10/12 onwards.
vi) Financial Background: Total annual parental income from all sources must not exceed ₹6 Lakh.
vii) Target Segments: Special priority is given to female students, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), students from single-parent households, orphaned students, and applicants residing in Tier-2 or Tier-3 cities.
