Fellowship Awards-2025
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, through its Department of Health Research, has launched the Advanced Short-Term Fellowship Awards-2025. This initiative is part of the Human Resource Development (HRD) Scheme aimed at strengthening the skills of Indian doctors and scientists in key research areas in collaboration with leading institutions both within India and abroad.
Objective:
The main objective is to encourage doctors and researchers with MBBS, PG medical degrees, or PhD/DM/MCh or equivalent qualifications to undertake advanced short-term training at renowned research centers in India and internationally. This is intended to prepare them for specialized health research areas and to promote collaboration with global experts, thereby enhancing the country’s research capabilities.
Eligibility:
1. Candidates must have a recognized qualification in MBBS, postgraduate medical degrees, or PhD/DM/MCh or equivalent.
2. The upper age limit for applicants is 45 years.
3. Candidates should also have relevant experience in their respective fields.
Fellowship Duration:
The fellowship duration ranges from 3 months to 12 months.
Financial Support:
1. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of up to USD 3,000, which covers living expenses and training costs.
2. Additionally, travel allowances for international travel will be provided as per the scheme’s guidelines.

Applications for the fellowship must be submitted online by 15th September 2025.
