IDRBT Summer Internship 2026
1. Key Application Steps
The application is a two-step process. Both must be completed by April 15, 2026, for your application to be valid:
Step 1: Online Form
Fill out the application form available on the [IDRBT official website](https://www.idrbt.ac.in).
Step 2: Email Submission
Email to: (isip@idrbt.ac.in)
Subject Line: "Application to IDRBT Summer Internship Programme".
Required Attachments:-
i) Updated Resume/CV.
ii) Statement of Purpose (SOP) (explaining your interest and goals).
iii) Scanned copy of the Letter of Recommendation (LoR) or No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your Head of Department, signed and stamped.
iv) Recent professional photograph.
2. Selection Process
IDRBT is highly selective, usually accepting a maximum of 10 candidates.
1. Initial Shortlisting: Based on your academic record and the quality of your SOP.
2. Online Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. The final round of interviews for this cycle is typically scheduled around April 20, 2026.
3. Project & Research Areas
As an intern at IDRBT (an institute established by the Reserve Bank of India), you will work on cutting-edge banking technologies. Primary focus areas include:
i) Cybersecurity: Fraud detection, identity management, and data privacy.
ii) FinTech: Digital payments (UPI), Blockchain, and Cloud Computing.
iii) Data Science & AI: Machine learning for risk analytics and financial forecasting.
iv) Banking Systems: Next-gen network architecture and 5G in banking.
4. Additional Benefits
i) Accommodation: Provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the IDRBT Staff Quarters in Begumpet, Hyderabad (especially for outstation and female candidates).
ii) Facilities: Access to the specialized library and technical resources.
iii) Future Prospects (PPO): Exceptional performers may be offered a 26-week Assessment Internship, which can lead to a full-time job offer (Pre-Placement Offer) at IDRBT.
5. Important Checklist
i) Marks Conversion: If your college uses CGPA, you must convert it to a percentage (up to two decimal places) as per your university norms.
ii) Eligibility Check: You should be in your penultimate (second-to-last) year of study (e.g., 3rd year of a 4-year B.Tech).
iii) Location: The internship is physically located at Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
