1. About the Program
The Ramanujan Fellowship is a prestigious scheme instituted by the Government of India. It is managed by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) (formerly under the Science and Engineering Research Board - SERB).
The primary objective is "reverse brain drain"—attracting brilliant Indian or Indian-origin scientists and engineers working abroad to return to India and pursue full-time, advanced scientific research in domestic institutions.

3. Comprehensive Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
i) Applicants must hold a higher professional degree or equivalent:
ii) Ph.D. in Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
iii) Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology.
iv) MD in Medicine or equivalent medical postgraduate degrees.
v) Age Limit: Below 40 years of age
