Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Pre Matric Scholarship, Jammu and Kashmir 2022 is an opportunity offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India to provide financial aid to ST students of Jammu and Kashmir studying in Class 9 and 10. The selected students will receive a scholarship and other grants.

Education Qualification
belong to Scheduled Tribe (ST) category
be a domicile of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K)
be a regular full-time student studying Class 9 and 10 in a Government School or in a School recognized by Govt. or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education
have an annual family income of INR 2 lakh from all sources
not be getting any other Centrally-funded Pre-Matric Scholarship
Benefits For Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Pre Matric Scholarship, Jammu and Kashmir 2022
The selected scholars will receive the following benefits -
INR 150 per month to day scholars and INR 350 per month to hostellers
Book and Ad hoc grant of INR 750 per annum to day scholars and INR 1,000 per annum to hostellers

One copy of the passport-size photograph with signatures of the student thereon
A certificate (in original) of Scheduled Tribe duly signed by an authorized Revenue Officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar
An income declaration by the self-employed parents/guardians, stating definite income from all sources by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper. Employed parents/guardians are required to obtain an income certificate from their employer and for any additional income from other sources, they would furnish a declaration by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper
A receipt in acknowledgement of the scholarship in the previous year on the form attached to the application only duly counter-signed by the Head of the Institution/School concerned, if the applicant was in receipt of a scholarship under this scheme in the preceding year
Application From Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Students Pre Matric Scholarship, Jammu and Kashmir 2022
1. Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
2. Navigate to 'Applicant Corner'and click on 'New Registration'.
3. Now click on 'Click here for other Scholarship Schemes hosted on NSP for AY 2022-23'.
4. Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking, and 'Continue'.
5. Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (Pre Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, and write the applicant's name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
6. Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
7. Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the 'Register' button.
8. The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
9. Now, log in using OTP and fill out the application form.
10. After successful submission of the application form, an application ID and password will be generated which can be used for future references.
