SSA or Sarba Shikha Abhiyan is an Indian Government programme aimed at the universalisation of elementary education “in a time bound manner”, as mandated by the 86th Amendment to the Constitution of India making free and compulsory education to children between the ages of 6 to 14 (estimated to be 205 million children in 2001) a fundamental right. The programme was pioneered by former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

- Lower Primary level (LP): 5854 Posts
- Upper Primary- Social Science UP (SS): 911 Posts
- Upper Primary- Maths & Science UP (M &S): 277 Posts
Educational :
- (i) Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary Level: Candidates should have passed Senior/Higher Secondary or its equivalent with LP-TET/CTET with at least 50% marks or Graduation from a UGC recognised university.
- (ii) Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary Level (Social Science): Candidates should have passed Graduation from a UGC recognised university with UP-TET/CTET or Graduation from a UGC recognised university with UP-TET/CTET with at least 50% marks.
- (iii) Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary Level (Maths & Science): Candidates should have passed Graduation (B.Sc.) from a UGC recognised university with UP-TET/CTET with at least 50% marks.
Age Limit : The Minimum should be 18 years and upper age limit is 43 years
Selection Process : Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of the Personal Interview.
Application Fee : General and OBC Candidates have to pay Rs. 200 while SC/ST Candidates need to pay Rs. 150 through Indian Postal Order (IPO) in the name of Mission Director, Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission, Kahilipara, Guwahati–19

- Click on the Notification ‘ Recruitment of Assistant teachers from TET/CTET qualified candidates for SSA, Assam’
- Fill the Registration Form.
- Pay the fees.
- Complete the Registration form.
- Take a printout of the application for future use.
