TNPSC Assistant Engineer (Civil) Eligibility 2026
Education Qualification :
(i) Must possess the B.E degree in Civil Engineering or Civil and Structural Engineering;
(OR)
Must have passed in Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations under Civil Engineering Branch
(ii) Other things being equal, preference shall be given to those who have undergone one year of apprenticeship training under the Government of India scheme or the State Government Apprenticeship Scheme
(iii) Other things being equal, preference shall be given to released Emergency Commissioned Officers, released short service Commissioned Officers or other Exservicemen released from the Armed Forces
Age Limit :
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age Limit : 30 years.
Application Fee:
All Candidate: Rs. 100/- (for each subject paper; additional Rs. 100/- for each additional subject paper opted)
One Time Registration Fee: Rs. 150/- (one-time; valid for 5 years)
Special Categories (as per Annexure II of notification): Exemption available subject to eligibility and free chance limits
Salary : Level 20 (CPS)

How to Apply Online for TNPSC AE Exam 2026?
1. Visit the official website of the TNPSC, https://tnpsc.gov.in.
2. Go to the Notification section under the Recruitment tab on the homepage.
3. Click on the Apply Online link for TNPSC Combined Technical Services Examination (Non-Interview Posts).
4. Complete the One-Time Registration (if a new user) to obtain the login credentials.
5. Log in to the portal with a User ID and Password to open the online application page.
6. Fill out the online application form carefully by entering personal details, academic qualifications, and other required details.
7. Upload the requisite documents in scanned format as per the guidelines.
8. Proceed to pay the examination fee (Rs. 100/-) using Net Banking / Credit card / Debit card.
9. Verify all the details provided in the application form by clicking the Preview button.
10. Submit the application form finally and take a printout for future reference.
