Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree or equivalent examination from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum score:
General Category: 55% marks (without rounding off)
SC/ST/PwD/Transgender Category: 50% marks (without rounding off) for Sciences, Humanities (including languages), and Social Sciences.
Ph.D. holders who completed their Master’s degree by September 19th, 1991, get a 5% relaxation in marks (50% instead of 55%).
Appearing for Master’s Degree:
Candidates who have appeared for their Master’s degree exams (results awaited) or whose exams are delayed can apply provisionally.
However, they must pass their Master’s degree with the required minimum marks within two years of the SET result to be eligible for Assistant Professor.
Subject Choice:
Candidates can only appear in the subject of their postgraduate degree.

3. RBA/ALC-IB/OBC/ EWS Rs. 900/- Rs. 1500/-

How to Apply for JKSET 2026
1. Head to the University of Jammu website (https://www.jammuuniversity.ac.in/) or the JKSET website (https://www.jujkset.in/).
2. Select whether you’re applying for J&K (JKSET) or Ladakh (LASET) and your category (e.g., General, SC/ST). Pay the exam fee online using a credit/debit card or net banking. Print your fee receipt and note down the transaction reference number.
3. Use your transaction reference number to register and create a password. Upload a recent passport-style photo and a scanned copy of your signature (both under 50 KB).
4. Carefully complete the online application with accurate details. This includes your personal information, contact details, academic background, government ID number, and exam center/subject choices.
5. Preview your application for any errors. If everything looks good, submit it. Print a copy of the completed application form for your records.

How to Download JKSET Admit Card 2026?
1. Visit the official website- https://www.jujkset.in
2. Click on the ‘Correct SET form’ tab.
3. Click on the admit card link.
4. Click on the ‘Download admit card’ tab.
5. Select the application number or payment transaction number.
6. Enter the application number or transaction reference number and mobile number
7. Download the admit card
8. Take a printout for future reference.
