SSC JE Eligibility 2026:
Educational Qualifications:
JE (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute; or a three-year diploma in Civil Engineering plus relevant work experience (requirement varies by organization).
JE (Electrical) / JE (Mechanical) / JE (Electrical & Mechanical): Degree or diploma in the relevant Electrical/ Mechanical /Automobile engineering discipline from a recognized university/ institute, with experience required in some organizations.
JE (Telecom): Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical Communications, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or Instrumentation.
Scientific Assistant (IMD): Bachelor's degree in Science with Physics as one of the subjects, or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications /Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering/Instrumentation/Information Technology/Telecommunication Engineering/Communication Engineering.
Age Limit: Maximum 30 to 32 years

How to Apply for SSC JE Recruitment 2026
1. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on ssc.gov.in (OTR from the old ssc.nic.in portal will not work on the new site).
2. Log in and fill the SSC JE 2026 Online Application Form, either via the SSC website or the mySSC mobile app.
3. Candidates opting for Aadhaar-Based Authentication at the OTR stage will not need to separately upload a photo/signature meeting standard specifications, and won't need a physical photo ID at the exam venue.
4. Candidates not using Aadhaar authentication must capture a live photograph within the application module and upload a scanned signature (JPEG, 10–20 KB, ~6 cm x 2 cm).
5. Select the organization/post and the relevant technical subject (Part-A to Part-G) as per your educational qualification — this choice cannot be changed later.
6. Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit the form before September 22, 2026 (23:00 hrs).
7. Use the Application Correction Window (September 28–30, 2026) to fix errors, if needed — corrections are chargeable (₹200 first time, ₹500 second time).
