DRDO Internship Programme – Detailed Overview
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced a six-month structured internship programme for eligible students from engineering and science backgrounds. The initiative aims to provide hands-on exposure to advanced research projects being carried out at DRDO laboratories across India. Students participating in this internship will receive training support directly from scientists, technical experts, and project supervisors. The programme is designed to enhance research capabilities, industrial exposure, and professional learning among students.
1. Programme Highlights
Internship Duration :
(i) 6 months full-time structured internship
(ii) Final year or pre-final year students encouraged
2. Academic Requirements
Students must be pursuing:
(i) B.Tech / BE
(ii) MSc (Science Stream)
(iii) Equivalent technical programmes
Students from recognised institutes under:
(i) AICTE
(ii) UGC
(iii) Statutory universities
are eligible to apply.
3. Monthly Stipend
(i ) Selected trainees get ₹5,000 per month
(ii) Merit-based stipend disbursement
