Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Scholarship Program 2025-26: Empowering BDS Students
Scholarship Overview
The program is designed to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections who are pursuing a career in dentistry.
1. Required Documents
You will need to upload clear and valid digital copies of the following:
(i) Photograph: A recent passport-size photograph.
(ii) Educational Records: Marksheet of the previous academic year (Class 12/Higher Secondary) showing at least 60% marks.
(iii) Identity Proof: Government-issued ID (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or PAN Card).
(iv) Admission Proof: Evidence of 1st-year BDS admission (Fee Receipt, Admission Letter, Institution ID Card, or Bonafide Certificate).
(v) Income Proof: Valid family income certificate issued by a government authority (Tehsildar/Magistrate/SDO), EWS Certificate, or the latest Income Tax (vi) Return (ITR). Must not be older than 2 years.
(vii) Bank Details: Bank passbook or a cancelled cheque of the applicant or their parent/guardian.
2. Terms and Conditions for Renewal
This scholarship is not just a one-time payment; it covers your entire 4-year degree. However, to keep receiving the ₹50,000 each year:
(i) Academic Progress: You must maintain a minimum of 60% marks in every semester or academic year.
(ii) Conduct: You must submit a Character Certificate from your college starting from the second year.
(iii) Exclusivity: You typically cannot receive this scholarship if you are already availing of another scholarship for the same course.
(iv) Usage: The funds must be used for academic-related expenses (Tuition, hostel, books, laptop, internet, etc.).
3. Step-by-Step Application Process
The application is handled online through the Buddy4Study portal.

(iii) Fill the Form: Click on 'Start Application' and enter your personal, academic, and banking details.

(v) Review & Submit: Double-check all entries for accuracy, accept the Terms & Conditions, and click 'Submit'.
4. Selection Process
(i) Shortlisting: Based on academic merit and financial need.
(ii) Verification: Document verification of shortlisted candidates.
(iii) Interview: Some candidates may be called for a telephonic interview by the IDA (Indian Dental Association) or Buddy4Study before the final selection.
