YUVAi - Global Youth Challenge: Empowering Next-Gen AI Innovators
1. Program Overview
The YUVAi - Global Youth Challenge is a global initiative designed to foster Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among young people worldwide.
The primary objectives are:
(i) To introduce young innovators to foundational AI skills.
(ii) To empower them to solve real-world problems.
(iii) To develop AI-based solutions for social good.
2. Expected Learning Outcomes
Participants aren't just expected to submit an idea; they go through a journey of learning. By participating, students gain:
(i) Technical Literacy: Understanding Data, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
(ii) Ethical AI: Learning about the importance of data privacy and eliminating bias in algorithms.
(iii) Project Management: How to take an idea from a concept to a working prototype (MVP).
3. Eligibility Criteria
To participate in this challenge, applicants must meet the following requirements:
(i) Age Group: Between 13 and 21 years.
(ii) Participation Mode: Students can apply as individuals or as part of a team.
4. Important Documentation Needed
When you go to the portal to apply, keep the following ready:
(i) Proof of Identity: To verify your age (13–21 years).
(ii) School/College Details: Current enrollment information.
(iii) Project Abstract: A 200–300 word summary of the problem you want to solve and how AI will help.
5. Awards and Recognition
The challenge offers significant financial rewards for the top performers:
Position - Prize Amount
(i) First Prize - ₹15 Lakh each
(ii) Second Prize - ₹10 Lakh each
(iii) Special Recognition - ₹5 Lakh each
Note: Winners will also receive additional facilities and benefits alongside the cash prizes.
