Part-A: Subject-Specific Content (Mathematics) :
History of Mathematics, Nature of Mathematics, Learning, Teaching and Assessment of Mathematics - (Marks-05)
Indian mathematicians and their works, Vedic mathematics, how do mathematical ideas develop? The nature of mathematics, mathematical thinking, abstraction, specialization and generalization, modeling of learning, learning by rote (banking model), learning by programming, learning by understanding, prevalent teaching practices, constructivism and assessment in the classroom, development of abstract thinking, conceptual and procedural knowledge.
Points are calculated (Marks-10)
Number System, Natural Numbers, Whole Numbers, Integer Rational and Irrational Numbers Real Numbers, Basic Operations Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Order of Operations (BODMAS) Fractions and Decimals, Ordinary Fractions, Decimal Fractions, Mixed Fractions, Operations on Fractions, Factors and Multiplications (LCM), M.S. (HCF/ GCD), Ratio and Proportion, Interest, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Percentage, Profit and Loss Discount, Simple Interest , Time and Working Time, Distance and Speed Average, Commerce Mathematics.
Algebra (Marks-10)
Real numbers, Exponents, Algebraic expressions, Polynomials, Linear equations in one variable, Linear equations in two variables, Quadratic equations in one variable, Progressions: Arithmetic progression and Geometric progression
Trigonometry (Marks-05)
Trigonometric ratios, trigonometric all-equations, trigonometric values, graphs of trigonometric functions trigonometric equations, heights and distances.
Geometry (Marks-05)
Lines and angles, plane shapes: triangles, symmetry of triangles, quadrilaterals, symmetry in geometric shapes circles and tangent lines, geometric compositions.
Area measurement (Marks-05)
Area of Planar Shapes Triangle, Rectangle, Parallelogram and Trapezoid
Surface area and volume of three-dimensional shapes such as cubes, cuboids and elliptical cylinders, conical spheres.
Statistics (Marks-10)
Statistics: Collection and classification of data, frequency distribution tables, tally marks, bar charts and rectangle charts, pie charts. Graphs: Different types of graphs, arithmetic mean, median, mode.
Part B: Child Development & Pedagogy :
Child Development: Concept of development and its relationship with learning; principles of child development; heredity and environment; critical perspective on intelligence; multiple intelligence; language and thought; individual differences; linguistic diversity; differences based on caste, gender, community and religion; assessment for learning vs assessment of learning; school-based assessment; Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation.
Inclusive Education: Teaching learners from disadvantaged and weaker backgrounds; children with learning difficulties and disabilities; teaching creative and specially talented learners.
