Indian Civilization and Culture: Time calculation and sources in Indian history, Vedic culture and other philosophies (Jain and Buddhist philosophy), Indus Valley civilization, arts and crafts, Mauryan period, rise of modern culture in Europe and India
Gupta Empire, Mughal Empire and British Rule: Mughal-Rajput relations, administrative, social, economic and cultural conditions during the Mughal period, British policy towards Indian states, the revolt of 1857 and its effects.
